OB/GYN Case Study

 

A Johnson City OB/GYN group approached Eagle's Landing for transcription support.  Quality, turnaround time, and lower costs were the top goals.  Utilizing the PowerSpeech technology, the Eagle's Landing team brought the physicians on board and began training the speech understanding engine in the background.  The physicians were instructed to continue dictating as they had been, so long as they were in a "clean" environment free of external noise.  Expert medical language specialists (MLS's) utilized discrete data fields to tag the documents with HTML architecture and used the finished notes to complete the training of the SRT engine.  In less than 60 days, the busiest physician was moved to an "editing" status and his rate was cut by 15%.  This price break dropped his cost to lower than the previous vendor was charging.  In 45 more days, a second physician was switched over, resulting in another price break for the practice.
