Elisa B. Comer, CPHIT, CPEHR, CQA

CEO/Executive Director

Elisa Comer is CEO of Eagle's Landing and brings over 20 years of healthcare experience, including direct patient care, administrative support, quality auditing, and documentation and workflow management. She is a national transcription educator and is certified in Health Information Technology (HIT) and Electronic Health Records (EHR). She is a certified quality auditor (CQA), a project management professional (PMP), and completed a diploma in Medical Language and Transcription Studies (MLTS) in 1996.

Elisa has won numerous business leadership awards, including US Small Business Person of the Year for Tennessee, Top 40 Under 40 Business Leadership Award for Tennessee, and a Rising Star Award from the Tennessee Small Business Development Centers (TSBDC). In July of 2005, Elisa was appointed the AAMT National EHR Initiative Coordinator by Dr. Peter Preziosi, Executive Director of the American Association for Medical Transcription (AAMT). She is an active member of the Appalachian Regional Health Improvement Organization (RHIO), where she serves on the technology committee, promoting quality in a technical setting.

Elisa is a much sought-after speaker regarding the electronic medical record and data quality. She addressed the Tennessee Association for Medical Transcription on the EHR/EMR in July of 2005. In October, she chaired an AAMT webinar and spoke at the East Tennessee Chapter of AAMT Fall Symposium regarding EHR education for the transcription industry. She is also scheduled as a national speaker at the US Healthcare Compliance Association annual meeting in Las Vegas in 2006, and will speak on quality at the Tennessee American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) this year. She is scheduled for many other local, state and national EHR Conferences and has written many articles published in medical journals, through which she continues her efforts as a quality advocate in the setting of an EHR.

Elisa enjoys spending time with her family and loves camping and playing the piano.

 

Tommy Foskey, MCSE, A+

Lead Software Developer

Tommy joined Eagle’s Landing in the summer of 2002. He is currently responsible for all corporate software development projects and oversight of the technical division. He brings a strong background in both networking and hardware support and maintenance. He previously worked for a major hospital system in Georgia supporting the Medical Records area. He holds certification in:

  • Microsoft Certified Professional +Internet
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer

Having completed his Associate's Degree in Science with a concentration in Information Technology (graduating cum laude!), Tommy continues his studies toward his Bachelor's degree in software engineering. Tommy is based out of the Tennessee office and enjoys spending time with his wife and three young sons.

 

Cyndy Woodall

Director, Transcription Division

Cyndy joined Eagle's Landing in August 2001. Cyndy's current role as Transcription Director includes the day-to-day customer care and support, as well as responsibilities for the current MTs, and interviewing, hiring and training new MTs. She oversees the Quality Department and works closely with the Training Division to transition MTs into a production capacity. Cyndy brings 20+ years' experience in acute care and clinic dictation, as well as management and technical expertise to the Eagle's Landing team. Her work's passion is assisting the newly trained transcriptionist to advance to a higher level of expertise.

Cyndy is part of the virtual office team based out of Atlanta and enjoys spending time with her husband and cats.

 

Samantha Deutsch, AAS

Training Director

Samantha joined Eagle's Landing in 2002, after completing a transcription internship at ELTS while enrolled in the transcription program at Clayton State University. She began working as an MT and in 2003, accepted the position of Office Manager. Her current position requires her to handle all QA functions and training new MTs, and she also serves as the internship coordinator. She received an Associates Degree in Office Technology and a Medical Transcription Certificate from Clayton State College, and her previous jobs include various administrative positions and pharmacy technician.

Sam is part of the virtual office team based in Georgia, where she enjoys time with her family. She is involved in both school and sports activities with her children, and participates in various church functions.
